Steps to become a licensed home inspector in Delaware:
- In Delaware all home inspectors start out as a home inspector trainee: To become a home inspector you must take a training program approved by either ASHI or InterNACHI. Inspection Certification Associates is a Gold Level member with ASHI and approved by InterNACHI. After completing the Inspection Certification Associates home inspection training course (online or classroom) fill out the home inspector trainee application.
- Complete 75 supervised inspections: These supervised home inspections can be performed with any licensed home inspector in Delaware. Most ICA graduates utilize ASHI’s excellent mentorship program for this purpose. Once you have an ASHI membership you can contact mentors through the association.
- Pass the National Home Inspectors Exam: We fully prepare all graduates of our home inspection training course for the National Home Inspectors Exam. We include a 200 page online study guide and 700 practice questions free of charge for all of our home inspection students.
